Layout: FileMaker’s term for a graphical representation of database information. A layout itself is a single page that contains data fields, controls, navigation items and other tools for viewing and editing data by an end user.

Appointment: A general record in Calendar that helps plan work by reminding users of important events, tasks and meetings. Three different appointment types are supported by Calendar. Appointments can be assigned to other users within the network.

FileMaker: A cross platform database known for its combination of power and ease of use. The database is available in both MacOS and Microsoft Windows and functions in mixed networks containing both Macs and PCs. FileMaker solutions are generally a set of files containing both data and application codes with the .fp7 extension that can be easily deployed or transferred.
