SUI Solutions redesigned a CRM system and billing program using FileMaker.

Project Goals

All customer and business operations information was stored in a FileMaker 6 database that was written and updated by the company owner in the late 1980s in one of the original versions of Filemaker. The owner of the company was reluctant to turn over management of the database to anyone else. Eventually, rapid growth and lack of time convinced him to hire a team of programmers to update and redesign his program. Prior to the design of the new FileMaker database, SUI Solutions had designed the BrandRoads website, making SUI Solutions a logical choice.

Our Solution

CRM

• Created a FileMaker 8 database that replicated the old CRM but fixed bugs and optimized business processes
• Redesigned user interface to be more intuitive and user-friendly
• Integrated ready-to-use SUI User Manager template
• Integrated ready-to-use SUI Calendar template
• Imported all old data to the new database
• Made old database available as the new database was deployed to soften the migration for the staff of BrandRoads.

Installation was successfully implemented remotely with all training and maintenance performed in the same manner. Additionally, most work was handled after business hours resulting in little or no downtime.

Results

• All the goals specified by BrandRoads at the inception of the project were fully met
• Both the web site and database continue to function successfully
• SUI Solutions provides ongoing maintenance for BrandRoads with monthly updates and adjustments
